For once we decided to spend a whole, consecutive month of summer vacation. This is not what we usually do, but we thought we should give it a try. Another departure from our usual vacation style was our decision not to travel abroad and spend all our time in the Greek islands. Initially we thought of going to Leros and then Rhodes, but certain difficulties made us skip the Leros part. So we found ourselves in the island of Rhodes, going for swimming, making short trips inland (not all of Rhodes woods were consumed by fire, in fact there's a lot of green left intact, see photo), seeing family and friends and generally trying to relax. We have even planned to go for a short 3 day trip to Leros, just to satisfy our curiosity and see what we missed (or not).
